Upholding a tradition of excellence since 1886

Founded in 1886, the Carrollton City School System is one of only 21 independent public school districts in the state of Georgia that are governed separately from their home county school districts. Carrollton has its own Board of Education, superintendent and central administration, resulting in sharply-focused, maverick-style leadership that only a smaller, independent school district can provide.
